It’s ok to be Proud of your Accomplishments

This past week has been busy, yet incredible!! It was the first launch and completion of my first course, The Affirmation Mini Course.

It was scary and exciting all at once. Of course, it wasn’t perfect, but nothing is, and I was reminded yesterday to celebrate my wins and to be proud of my accomplishments!!

Yesterday, I had a conversation with one of my church Pastors/leaders and he asked me how I felt after completing the course. My response was, “I guess I could’ve done better. I’m sure there are things I missed and would need to fine tune it for next time.”

He asked me a few more questions about how the course went overall, and then he said, “I asked you how you felt about it, not what the course needed.” He went on to tell me how I should celebrate such a huge accomplishment because he knew how much work I put into it. He reminded me that by not acknowledging my joy in this moment, it is as if I’m saying I don’t deserve to be happy about my accomplishment.

This conversation was quite eye opening. I have always been someone who thinks I could’ve done better or given more to a task, situation etc, but I miss the joy of the accomplishment of the moment. There is nothing wrong with wanting to grow and do better, but sometimes it takes away from my joy.

As I mentioned in Day 3 of the course, I am just as much on my identity journey as anyone else and I was reminded to pause to be proud of myself and celebrate my wins. I put a lot of work into creating, designing and launching the Affirmation Mini course and I believe the Lord has used it to touch lives in some way or another.

And I’m going to be courageous to say that I am super proud of this accomplishment and can’t wait to do another one!

I also believe I serve well as a Life Coach and would love to work with you 1:1 to be able to help you further along your identity journey.

Be blessed and remember to pause to celebrate your wins!
